⏳ The Real Secret to Balance Uni & Social Life

This weeks scientifically proven hack...

- This Weeks Hack -

An Effective Way To Find Balance

This strategy focuses on the importance of committing only to tasks you will do - and vigorously pursuing enjoyable activities.

Organizing academic and other obligations around these commitments can lead to a more balanced life. Try it!

  1. Set aside 10 minutes.

Take pen & paper and choose a quiet, comfortable spot.

  2. List your commitments.

What can you realistically commit to this week?

  3. Define your “fun time”.

First, block out times for fun or for trying new things.

  4. Plan around the “fun time”.

Gradually add study activities and others around the fun time.

  5. Focus - one thing at a time.

Don’t multitask & don’t make too many commitments.

  6. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

Mistakes are good! In the evening, review & adjust for next time.

The Science Behind The Hack

A study at Princeton University found that students who implemented a "Commitment and Fun Pursuit" approach by focusing on time rather than tasks and doing one thing at a time, experienced a more balanced and fulfilling university life.

They achieved this by integrating their academic responsibilities with their personal interests and social activities. This approach led to both academic success and a satisfying social life. More details can be found here.
